Rice University is located at 6100 Main Street, Houston, TX 77005. The campus is bordered by Main Street, Greenbriar Street, Rice, Sunset and University Boulevards (see maps below). For the most direct route to the Department of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology enter the Rice campus at entrance#20 off of Sunset Boulevard. There will be a visitors parking lot on your left. From north or south |
1. Those approaching Houston on I-45 north or I-45 south should take the US 59 south exit. From US 59 south take the Fannin Street exit and travel south on Fannin until you reach Sunset Boulevard. Take a right on Sunset. Turn left into the Rice campus using entrance #20. 2. Those approaching Houston from the north on US 59 (heading south) should take the Fannin Street exit and travel south on Fannin until you reach Sunset Boulevard. Take a right on Sunset. Turn left into the Rice campus using entrance #20. 3. Those approaching Houston from the south on US 59 (heading north) should exit at Greenbriar, stay on the frontage road, and turn right (south) on Greenbriar. Follow Greenbriar to the light at Rice Boulevard. Turn left onto Rice Boulevard. Stay on Rice Boulevard through the next light. Turn right into the Rice campus using entrance #20.

From east or west |
1. Those approaching Houston from the west on I-10 East should take 610 South to 59 North and exit at Greenbriar. Stay on the frontage road, turn right (south) on Greenbriar. Follow Greenbriar to the light at Rice Boulevard. Turn left onto Rice Boulevard. Stay on Rice Boulevard through the next light. Turn right into the Rice campus using entrance #20. 2. Those approaching Houston from the east on I-10 West should take the US 59 south exit. From US 59 south take the Fannin Street exit and travel south on Fannin until you reach Sunset Boulevard. Take a right on Sunset. Turn left into the Rice campus using entrance #20. 3. Those approaching Houston from the northwest on 290 should take 610 South to 59 North and exit at Greenbriar. Turn right into the Rice campus using entrance #20.

Take West Loop 610 South to 59 North and exit at Greenbriar. Stay on the frontage road, turn right (south) on Greenbriar. Follow Greenbriar to the light at Rice Boulevard. Turn left onto Rice Boulevard. Stay on Rice Boulevard through the next light. Turn right into the Rice campus using entrance #20.
